Current Focus
Mark Morante is  Vice President of Policy and Governmental Affairs for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). In this position, he oversees the Office of Governmental Affairs,  Policy Development and Special Projects.
 
Professional Background
Morante started his career with State Government in 1978 as a policy analyst with the Michigan Department of Commerce and has focused on business and industry deregulation, capital formation and banking and business climate and incentive issues.  He has headed several policy and economic development areas within the Department of Commerce, Michigan Jobs Commission and the MEDC.
 
Education
Morante holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a BA in both Economics and Political Science from Oakland University.
