Current Focus
Jennifer Owens is Vice President of Michigan Retention and Growth for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).  Ms. Owens leads a team of business development managers responsible for assisting Michigan businesses in maintaining and expanding their facilities.

Professional Background
Ms. Owens has nearly 10 years economic development, marketing, communications and public relations experience.  She has held various roles within the MEDC, including business development manager, managing director of business marketing and vice president of communications.  Prior to her current position, she spent more than three years in the field working as a business development manager in Oakland and Macomb counties. 

Education
Ms. Owens received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University.
